Stroke Awareness (Group Session)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This Stroke Awareness training course is aimed at all health care workers, from those who may be new to caring for stroke – such as rotational staff or those new in their post, those wishing to extend their existing stroke knowledge and skills to those with a mixed pathology case load that includes stroke.

CERTIFICATION

On completion delegates will have an awareness of what a stroke is, recognise the common signs and symptoms of a stroke and know what action to take. Delegates will be able to identify the different types of stroke and discuss the risk factors. The delegates will be able to understand the importance of emergency response and treatment, be able to provide support and discuss various forms of communication. Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance which is valid for 3 years.
