Nutrition & Hydration (Group Session)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This nutrition and hydration awareness training course aims to raise awareness of best practice in relation to healthy living and nutrition. It will address mealtime issues carers may face and how to solve them. It will cover vitamin content of food and the staffs responsibilities for maintaining the service users fluid intake.

CERTIFICATION

On completion delegates  will be able to identify signs of malnutrition and under hydration, they will have discussed possible techniques to ensure service users are well nourished. Students will be able to identify the different food groups, know where to find them and the role they play in nutrition. Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance which is valid for 3 years.
